The I-95 Express Lanes project extended Express Lanes 10 miles south of exit 143 to exit 133.

New turn lanes on the I-95 south off-ramp at exit 126 plus new turn lanes from Route 1 south to Southpoint Parkway.

Variable Speed Limits

Variable Speed Limits

The Virginia Department of Transportation installed variable speed limits (VSL) to enhance safety. New signs displaying variable speed limits between 35 mph and 65-70 mph are paired with dynamic message boards in this section of I-95 northbound.
